Women for Crowley's Ridge College
(WCRC)
Women for Crowley's Ridge College (WCRC) was founded in 1970 by Mrs. Metta Dean Moore, the sister of founding father and CRC’s first president, Emmett Smith. WCRC was organized as a support organization for CRC. The purposes of WCRC are to:
- Foster friendship among women interested in CRC
- Support CRC financially
- Assist CRC in achieving its mission
WCRC has members from seven states who provide annual support. WCRC members are involved in fundraising as well as service projects. Over the years, WCRC has provided more than $350,000 in support of Crowley's Ridge College. Recent projects on the CRC campus include:
- Complete tennis court renovation at a cost of $10,700.00
- Paving of Pioneer Drive (Phase I) at a cost of $13,500.00
WCRC funds these projects through a wide array of fundraisers. WCRC members sell candles, cookbooks, and cutlery throughout the year. Two major fundraising projects, The Barnyard Bash and Christmas Auction, provide the major funds for WCRC’s projects.
Regular membership dues are $10 annually. To find out more information about WCRC, please contact Nancy Joneshill or Fayrene Kieffner at 1-800-264-1096.
